My name is Halle Cottis, and I have a passion for food and nutrition!  Since graduating from The Ohio State University with a degree in food and nutrition, I have pursued a career designed around my passions.

I began my career while working in the catering field for a major corporation.  My passion for food continued to grow, and so my husband and I opened a restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, where we cooked everything from scratch.

My career was on the fast path, but it’s funny how life can change so quickly!  In the blink of an eye, I went from having no children to having 3 girls: a 19 month old and newborn twins.

I decided to put my career on hold, so we sold the restaurant and I managed my family full time.

I really enjoyed raising and nourishing my girls-but my life was busy and stressful.  I’m sure you can relate!

Unfortunately, I turned to the wrong foods, began emotionally eating and lost my way in life. In this stressful time of my life, I gained about 30 pounds.

When I finally decided to turn my health around in 2010, I began researching and came across some cutting-edge programs.

I gained a huge amount of knowledge and in the process I learned how to eat right with clean, organic foods and proper nutrition. Within several months, I lost 30 pounds and I continue to maintain a healthy weight.

I achieved this through proper nutrition and exercise, emotional and energy healing, and living the most natural way possible.

The Foodie In Me Came Out!


I love to cook!  My passion for food enabled me to create some really delicious yet healthy meals.  My collection of recipes kept growing (I have over 400 recipes here on Whole Lifestyle Nutrition), so I created a few cookbooks that have been hugely popular.  You can view those in the tab above “Get My Books”!

In addition to cooking healthy meals, I have become passionate about growing my own food.  Food is more healthy and tastes better when you grow it yourself. I grow as much of my own organic food as possible and this helps feed me and my family.

I have found a very simple and easy way to garden organically that produces plenty of fruits and vegetables for my family to eat throughout the summer and fall.

It is so rewarding to grow your own food and then bring it to the kitchen table for your family to enjoy! You can check out my gardening posts in the gardening tab above.

Nutrition, Emotional & Energy Healing


I have discovered that I have yet another passion:  to help others achieve the same amazing results I have experienced.  In order to better understand this holistic way of life, I furthered my education to become certified as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach with The C.H.E.K Institute.

There are two components to ones healthy & healing journey that are often overlooked when trying to get healthy. These two components are emotional and energy healing. I believe that healing these two areas of your life is the absolute key to success!!

There is so much to learn about the phycology of true emotional and energy healing.  This is where everything, and I mean EVERYTHING changed for me.

Learning how to embrace my energy and my purpose here on this earth has been absolutely life changing! Once again I found myself furthering my education to become an Energy Healing Practitioner. (I will be taking on new clients in Spring of 2016)!

Whole Lifestyle Nutrition Was Born


Finally, I began to think:  Why don’t I create a website where I can help others with nutrition, emotional and energy healing and to help others bring out their inner “health-nut” foodie?

Whole Lifestyle Nutrition is a place where I can share my healthy and delicious recipes, help others grow their own food, and coach people to healthy success along the way.

So here we are…What a journey this has been!  Come and join me on this wonderful adventure-you’ll be so happy you did!
