A Family Friendly Challenge So my girls have been asking me for jello for quite some time now.  I will not buy the junk at the grocery stores because it is made from gelatin that is clearly not from a grass fed source and it has a ton of sugar and artificial flavors and coloring in them.   So this week when I asked my girls what they wanted to do for Family Friendly Fridays, they all said jello mama!…

Sun Dried Tomatoes

There is nothing that I love more than heading out to my garden and picking these super sweet cherry tomatoes!  I have really never been a fan of them until I started to grow them myself.  Oh my goodness there is no comparison to store bought.  I grow sweet 100′s and they produce these beautiful miniature tomatoes that are so sweet it taste like I am having some candy (well maybe not that sweet ).  This year I grew yellow…

I am always looking for healthy grab and go snacks!  Earlier this month, I posted a delicious Cinnamon & Honey Nut Crunch Cereal recipe and this recipe is a spin off of that recipe.  For this specific recipes I added some dried cranberries.  You could add so many different ingredients to customize these granola bars to your liking.    I like to add a little peanut butter and then drizzle some chocolate over the top.  I also think that coconut…

I made these little bites the other night for my kids to enjoy with some friends.  They all loved them and even asked for more!  This recipe is so simple and really will take you about 5 minutes to put together.  Simply cut your chicken into 1 inch chunks.  Season with salt and pepper.  Cut each piece of raw bacon into half.  Now wrap the bacon around the chicken and place them in a casserole dish, seams…

I love, love, love sweet potatoes!  One of my favorite ways to enjoy them are when they are sweet potatoes chips.  I searched high and low for a good sweet potato chip and although they are out there, they are usually filled with some form of bad oils or other harmful ingredients.  So today I am going to show you how I dehydrate my sweet potatoes into chips.  This recipe came from my dear friend Debbie who always throws me…
