Rustic Green Beans

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1/2″ pieces
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp unrefined sea salt
  • 1/3 cup grass fed butter
  • 2 1/2 tsp steviva blend or sweetener of choice
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp unrefined sea salt
  • 2 cup halved cherry or grape tomatoes

  1. Place beans in a dutch oven with the 2 cups of water and 1 tsp of salt.
  2. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat and cook for 5-7 minutes or until beans are slightly tender.
  3. Drain beans and add butter steviva blend, basil, garlic powder, pepper and salt.
  4. Stir gently.
  5. Pour tomatoes over beans and toss gently.
  6. Serve hot.
