A Siblings Getaway
I recently traveled to South Carolina near Charleston for a getaway with my siblings. You know… the 4 of us, no kids, no spouses, just the four of us…kind of brought us back to our childhood!
Here we are: Nikki, Jay, Hilary and myself! We all have 3 kids and to be honest with you we have never done a sibling getaway before.
I mean sometimes life just gets in the way, right? Well let me tell you, we were finally in the place to pull this siblings getaway off and wow, what a wonderful time!
My Siblings, Do We Look Alike?
Meet Nikki, Jay and Hilary. Here they are. In the first photo I am in the top left, my older sister Nikki is next to me and my twin sister Hilary is up front.
In the next photo is my brother Jay. It was so hard to get a photo of all of us together, someone had to be shooting the photo right?
A Place on The Beach
We decided to splurge a bit and get a beautiful place on the beach and right on a golf course. We were off season so it was a bit more affordable and with 4 of us chipping in on the bill, why not right? Wow, what a beautiful place.
We left the windows open nightly and could here the waves crashing in the distance. I have never slept so great.
Morning Beach Walks
In the morning there were walks on the beaches. Here is one of my favorite photos taken by my sister. Wow, I could walk to this every morning how about you?
Sun Bathing In Blankets
There were plenty of afternoons wrapped up in blankets (well at least I was, it was in the upper 70’s but there was a chill in the air) and enjoying some rays, fishing and some more waves!
The Beach at Dusk
And then there were the walks on the beach at dusk. I mean seriously, how beautiful is this?
Local Shopping and Dining at Charleston
There were also trips into Charleston for local shopping and dining. Wow, we had some terrific meals and better yet, some amazing company!
We are already planning our next trip and couldn’t believe it took us this long to get away. What a great time! I came back feeling rejuvenated and connected to some of the most important people in my life. It doesn’t get any better than that!
