The Best Thing You Can Do For Weight Loss!
The best thing you can do for weight loss is to THROW THAT SCALE AWAY! Scales are not your friend and do not give you a realistic number for your weight loss journey.
Think of a body builder who has very little fat on their body. That individual can weigh a lot more than you would think because of their muscle volume. There are so many factors that can affect the scale.
I can assure you that if you have a muscular body and weigh more than a person who has very little muscle volume, you will be in much better shape to maintain a healthy weight.
A Healthy Visual
To give you a visual, I myself have a muscular body. Do I look like a body builder, no! But I do have a very muscular frame.
Just looking at me in the picture below doesn’t show you the muscle tone, but I can assure you there is muscle there.
To show you this in a plain visual, I bet you can not guess how much I weigh in this picture. Take a guess? I am 5′ 6″ tall. (By the way, sorry for the low-quality picture. My daughter shot this with my phone a few years back when I was trying on dresses for a formal event!) 🙂
What did you guess? In this photo, I weighed 163 pounds. Were you close, or far off?
My point to showing you this is that many wouldn’t have guessed my actual weight in this picture. I have a very dense muscle mass, and when I work out consistently my weight actually can increase, but my inches continue to decrease.
Gaining muscle is a good thing!
So consider adding some weights to your workout next time! I have a 100% free 30-day dumbbell challenge that is incredibly popular! Gaining muscle which is a good thing…and muscle is denser than fat and will burn more calories in the long run.
Also, be gentle with this process. Your body might also be in a healing phase.
If you are trying to lose weight, remember that it took time to become unhealthy so it might take time for you to heal as well. Consider doing some yoga while going through your healing phase.
Weight loss is a journey!
Weight loss is a journey. When you start your journey you oftentimes will lose weight quickly in the first few weeks.
Many individuals get excited, they have finally found something that works! They think that this quick 10-pound weight loss is a normal rate to lose weight and again become frustrated when the weight loss slows down.
People often ask themselves, What am I doing wrong? The answer…Nothing!
Give it time!
Those first 10 pounds most likely is water weight and a realistic number to lose a week is 1-2 pounds. It took time for you to gain weight, it should also take some time for you to lose the weight.
No two individuals are alike and neither are your dietary or exercise needs. What works for one person could totally flop for the next.
Learn to listen to your bodies language. It’s smart — you just have to get in tune with it and listen to it!
Also, consider doing some emotional and energy healing. We often forget about our energy and how it affects everything! One of THE BEST free courses I ever took was this one! It was absolutely life changing for me!
A True Measure Of Success
Accept that weight loss is a process, In fact — Embrace the process. If you find that the scale is discouraging you from accomplishing your desired outcome, get rid of it!
Go with how your clothes feel. If you desire to see it in numbers, use a tape measure to measure your inches.
But whatever you do, do not self-sabotage yourself into believing that your efforts aren’t making a difference. They are…continue on, you will see results in time!
Learn to love yourself as you are as you work towards your goals. Accomplishing this, my friend is the true measure of success.

Throw away your scale and pile up your house with mirror.
