What A Year…
Chances are that your life, like mine, has changed quite a bit over the past year.
It’s been one year ago that we entered into lockdown. How could we ever have imagined the challenges that 2020 would deliver us personally, professionally, and politically.
My heart goes out to everyone who has faced unimaginable circumstances. It’s hard to know what to do or say in some of these situations. I found comfort by leaning into my support, my family, and my trusted friends and advisors. My hope is that you were able to find ways to cope as well.
One thing that I’ve noticed, however, is that some of my challenges presented themselves as gifts. They allowed me to slow down, reflect and make the necessary changes to live better, be better, and be part of the change that’s needed in this world.
What I’ve Been Up To Personally And Professionally
If you’re a regular here at Whole Lifestyle Nutrition, you may have noticed that I have been quiet on this platform (and ALL of my other social platforms) since the pandemic hit.
Like so many others, 2020 brought some trying times. For example,
- My husband, who’s always traveled extensively for work, was now working from home.
- My 3 teenage high school daughters were now required to homeschool.
- I had to put my business and my coaching projects on hold so that I could offer support to my family and myself.
I was a confused entrepreneur who didn’t know what direction to take, an exhausted mama being pulled in every which direction, and an overwhelmed self-development junkie who desperately wanted to make some life changes, but knew that it was not the time.
I took a BIG step back, prioritize what myself and my family needed to weather this storm.
We did our best to be gentle with ourselves. We grieved the loss of so many and we grieved the lives that we once took for granted.
Seeing The Light…
But today I’m feeling a bit more hopeful. We’re pushing through. We are seeing a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
My girls are back in school, my husband has started traveling locally, and I’m getting some balance back into my life.
Gone are the excuses to have “just one more drink” or “just one more BBQ meal” off the smoker (because BBQ is our thang), instead we’re enjoying some gentle nutrition and some nurturing movement.
Today was the first day I felt that I could jump back onto this platform. I’ve been working diligently behind the scenes with some exciting personal and business development work and am ready to share with you some changes coming your way on Whole Lifestyle Nutrition.
What’s On The Horizon
I’ve had an amazing opportunity to work with a coach to uncover what I want for my readership going forward.
If anything, 2020 brought me clarity of who I want to serve and what my purpose is so that I can be part of the change that I spoke about above.
Although I’ve loved making recipes and sharing wellness tips, my focus going forward will focus on liberating women (more specifically exhausted moms, overwhelmed personal development junkies, and confused entrepreneurs) who are not living true to themselves to walk into life being EXACTLY who they were meant to be.
So what’s next…?
What You Can Expect Going Forward
Rest assured, all current content will remain on Whole Lifestyle Nutrition. You’ll still be able to find recipes and wellness tips and my current programs will be available for a few more months.
Over the next 6 months, I will be making some branding shifts and updating some things on my website to reflect my new vision going forward.
All new content will be about empowering women, like yourself, to live the best version of their authentic selves so that they can live a life of total freedom. Things like:
- CRUSHING YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS
- SHOWING UP FOR YOURSELF
- UNCOVERING YOUR LIMITLESS POTENTIAL
- REVEALING YOUR PURPOSE
As busy women, we often put ourselves last. I am out to change that!
If you’re reading this, permission has been granted to put yourself first. When you choose yourself today, amazing things can happen.

Hello! I have been reading your Medical Medium posts from quite a long while ago. Sorry for the comment regarding older posts! I am thinking about doing the 28-day cleanse in order to get more energy, feel my best and lose a few pounds. I am already pretty healthy but just can’t shake about 20 pounds I need to lose. I drink lemon water every morning, my eating is mostly vegetables and a few fruits, a gallon of water per day, no meat, and at least a hearty attempt at no added sugar. My hold-out on embarking on the cleanse is… COFFEE. Coffee is MY THING. I love it. I love going to cafes and getting espresso drinks, the ritual of making and relishing it at home in the mornings, I literally go to bed at night looking forward to my coffee the next morning. It’s an addiction, I know, and it’s bad. I’m wholly unconvinced that celery juice can ever be as fulfilling as my beloved coffee. But, doesn’t coffee contribute to neurotoxins or something like that? I just ordered the first MM book which I hope goes into that. Anyway, I loved the posts about your MM journey and look forward to following your blog! Thank you!
Hey there coffee lover! I hear you when you say that coffee is YOUR THING! It is mine as well. Here’s my advice. Be gentle with yourself, you’re making a lot of amazing changes and it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. If you feel like doing the 28 day cleanse with coffee then do just that. You still will see remarkable results even drinking coffee. I’m proud of you and all of your efforts to live a healthier lifestyle. Thanks for reaching out and it’s great to have you here! 🙂
