How To Make A Perfect Grass Fed Burger!

Grass Fed Burger

I LOVE grass fed burgers! I always have a freezer full of grass fed beef. Right now I have about 50 pounds of ground beef in my freezer! 50 pounds?? Yes, I buy my grass fed meat from a local farmer and buy it by the quarter side. There is nothing like it! I take comfort in knowing that my beef came from 1 healthy grass fed cow, a reputable farmer and butcher and that I am supporting local farmers. If you haven’t checked out your local farmers for quality grass fed meat you can do so here at The Weston A. Price Foundation.

So with all this meat, you could imagine that I have come up with some pretty great beef recipes. Well here is one of my families favorites! Who doesn’t love a juicy grass fed burger dripping in raw cheese?? Yum! So here is my simple recipe for all of you to enjoy.

Here is what you will need. 1 1/2 pound of grass fed meat, ALL NATURAL Worcestershire sauce (I specify ALL NATURAL because it is not made out of high fructose corn syrup and has a good source of ingredients! Be sure to read the labels of your Worcestershire Sauce to make sure you are getting the ALL NATURAL version), and Redmond Real Seasoning Salt. That is all you need for these delicious burgers.

Ingredients

Patty out your burgers to the desired size. Liberally add some seasoning salt to both sides of the burger.

Season With Seasoning Salt

Liberally add Worcestershire Sauce to each side of the burger.

Add Worcestershire Sauce

Preheat your grill to Medium heat. Carefully grease your grill grates with some coconut oil. Place burgers on grill and grill for 5 minutes before flipping.

Place Burgers On Grill

Flip the burgers and cook the other side for 3 minutes (or until almost done). Remember, do not overcook your burgers. Grass fed beef is so much better when it isn’t overcooked! After 3 minutes add your raw cheese of choice and allow to melt for 2 more minutes on the grill. Remove from grill and serve on a sprouted bun with your favorite toppings. My favorite burger is with some sautéed onions, raw cheese, and some bacon!
