I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday week! This afternoon my family and I spent some time creating some amazing memories! What a perfect day! One might think it’s a little cold here in Wisconsin at a whopping 20ºF, but let me tell you…puffy snow pants & big coats are AMAZING at keeping you warm!
Can’t worry about your figure in snow pants that is for sure….there is so much padding and extra puffiness that you just have to get over it and realize everyone there is in the same boat! 🙂 I have to tell you…we had to take some layers off, we were getting a bit warm!
The photo above is a picture of my girls and husband getting ready for their first time down this awesome hill! We started to make our way up the the hill with great anticipation of what was to come.
Of course I had to have my husband shoot a photo of me and my girls before they went down. Look at our cheeks already getting rosy!
I just love their precious smiles as they anticipate this amazing hill and how fast they are about to make it down. Oh how fun it is to be a kid and yes, today I was a kid again…that is for sure!
I even tried snowboarding today! Oh my goodness, I have to give you a fair warning…I wipe out big time in my puffy jacket & big pants 🙂 Have you ever tried snowboarding before? Should have had a helmet yes, but this was just a baby hill! It is harder than you think! Finding your balance is key. My husband and daughter Brynn were great at it!
To make this memory even more perfect, there was an amazing train that came right by us as we were sledding! What kid or adult doesn’t like the sound of a train roaring through a winters day? Here is a cute short video…pay close attention at the end where I massively wipe out! 🙂
After we sledded for 3 hours, we headed to the closest cafe for a delicious cup of hot cocoa! I have to tell you…we would have thought it was 70ºF out…dress right for the weather and you can stay out forever. Definitely a perfect winters day!
I hope you all are enjoying this time with your friends and family…I know we are! Happy New Year everyone!
