One of my most favorite treats!
One of my favorite treats to make around this time of the year has to be one of my quick bread recipes.
Quick breads are so easy to make, require no rising time and usually, in most cases, can be mixed by hand. How easy is that?
And the reward, oh the reward my friend is this slightly gooey and this deliciously moist banana bread — like you’ve never had before!
A Look Into the Archives
Wow, when I went back to my archives, I was quite surprised with all of the quick bread recipes that I have posted. Here are just a few:

Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread
So today I thought I would add one more to the collections. I recently posted my Chocolate Zucchini Bread and we started quite the conversation in the comment section.
With a little encouragement from some of our readers, I was inspired to create a version of this recipe using bananas instead of zucchini. Oh my…can I just tell you how wonderful this bread is?
How about sinking your teeth into a yummy piece of this bread? Mmmmm….so good and super delicious!

This looks so good!! I’m trying to find a nut free version as well. My son can have the nut free version for his lunch at school and we can have the above recipe at home.
Thank you!!
Hi and thank you for this delicious looking recipe. My family and I are just beginning our journey with a Paleo/gluten-free lifestyle, so right now feeling a bit overwhelmed, and definitely have lots to learn, but I’ll/we’ll get there! 🙂
I just have a quick question please, will either raw or creamy roasted almond butter work? I have jars of both kinds in my pantry, but just want to make sure before I make this recipe. Thank you! 🙂
Both of those will work. Enjoy the recipe.
Can your son have sprouted wheat? https://wholelifestylenutrition.com/recipes/cozy-banana-bread-recipe-and-a-from-scratch-cookbook-review/
This is absolutely delicious! My whole family loved it! Do u think i could use this recipe to make pumpkin bread by subbing pureed pumpkin for the bananas?
Amy BowenAbsolutely! I am actually working on an e-book that that focuses on healthy quick breads that are gluten free and grain free. Stay tuned, I have many different varieties that you will LOVE! 🙂

Thanks Halle!! LOVE your recipes, keep em coming! 🙂
Can sunflower seed butter be substituted for almond butter 1:1? My kids are highly allergic to peanuts and I am trying to find alternatives…everything seems to use almonds, cashews or some other tree nut (which they also cannot have). Thanks for the recipes!
I have never felt compelled to post a comment on anything before, but I’ve made this recipe about 8 times so far and love it. My husband loves it. I shared it with a few GF friends and thier kids and they loved it. I wanted to add that I have varied the recipe by subbing 1.5 c pureed fruit (e.g., cherries, apples, etc.) + 1/2 c chopped nuts + 1/2 c dried fruit in place of bananas and cholocate chips with excellent results. Thank you for this recipe!!!
It’s so crazy to me that you can make bread without flour. Definitely makes it more expensive, though. This will definitely go in my “to make” pile of recipes to try it out for myself.
@Grace have your kids ever been tested for an allergy to almonds?? technically almonds are not a nut , they are part of the peach family. I know many people, my sister included, who went their whole lives believing they were allergic to almonds, only to find out that they aren’t.
I was really surprised by this recipe since it has no flour in it. But, it came out great! Though all the chocolate chips sunk to the bottom. Maybe I blended it too much. It tasted really good though! Thank you.
So glad you enjoyed it!
